I had the same exact idea (exept for feeding them other pokemons). and I add you something, they should totally turn it into a foghting game instead of a turns baced battle. You know... each button for each attack, a first person aim for a range attacks... a bit likee "Legend of Zelda" gameplay.
BTW: thoes nidorino and charmeleon are seriously baddass.

I can't find out if the mountain is a suface "Noised" or a bacgrownd image.
What tool did you use for the clouds any way?
carefull with the light, throught the holes within the clouds you can see the mountain in a shiny white. let the mountain be coloured as well by the sunlign or make it shaded cause it kills the effect

awesome art. yet, Tirael's sword is always glowing in blue fire (Diablo's fan detail)

in a way, it looks like a fucion beatween you (MindChamber's robot) and the real P-bot.
Modeling, Materials/textures, Lights and Render is almost perfect, there is one single detail I didn't like, as the walls are althought red, it gets lost in the background (it would need some more contrast).
